Extended deadline for e-KYC

Raipur News: E-KYC work of all members of card holders of ration shops is going on at a very slow pace in the district. In the month of June, e-KYC has been done for only about two and a half lakh members, while e-KYC is to be done for more than 21 lakh members in the district. district administration To speed up the work of e-KYC, the ration shop operators had given an ultimatum to complete the work by June 30, but seeing the way the work of e-KYC is going on in the district, it is expected that by the end of July Even till 100% e-KYC work of members will not be completed.

In comparison to the urban areas of the district, the work of e-KYC was started in ration shops in rural areas from the second week of June, while in some shops in urban areas, e-KYC was started from June 15 and in other shops from June 20. The work has been started. Due to this, e-KYC has been done for less than one lakh members in Raipur Municipal Corporation area, whereas in rural areas it has been done for more than one and a half lakh members.

More than 18 lakh members still left

After the order of the Collector, the work of e-KYC has definitely increased in all the ration shops of the district. Due to this, a huge crowd of members doing e-KYC was being seen at the city’s ration shops even in the midst of rain, but after the extension of the e-KYC period, its pace has once again declined. Beneficiaries have a month’s time and the shops are overcrowded, when it is less, they will go after that, this is the thinking of most of the members. Due to this, the crowd of those who get e-KYC done in ration shops is again less, while still more than 18 lakh members have to be e-KYCed across the district.

Still time to open new ration shops

Here, 110 new ration shops are also unable to open in the city. Had these shops been opened, the work of e-KYC could have been accelerated in the city, but due to the poor system of the department, these shops have not been opened till now. Out of the new shops, the contract process for 98 shops has already been completed two months ago. After this, e-pos machines have also been distributed to these shops, while the consignment of electric digital weighing machines has also reached the shops. After setting up these weighing machines that connect to the E-Pos machine via Bluetooth, they will also be distributed to the shops. Even after this, there is less hope that the shops will be able to open, because the distribution of registered cards has not yet been done before the opening of new shops.
