In the case of cyber fraud, applications from the victims have started increasing. About 200 cases of cyber fraud are reaching the State Cyber Police Station located at the police headquarters every month. On the basis of information, the police is taking action to stop transactions in the accounts of cyber thugs, but the police are not getting success in the matter of recovery. According to a close source, so far in the case of cyber fraud, recovery of more than two crore rupees is being reported within three years.

Raipur Police has filed a petition in the court in favor of 25 people in the matter of extorting money from thugs, where the process of hearing is pending. More than Rs 20 lakh has been recovered in Raipur district. According to State Cyber Police Station PHQ ASP Kavi Gupta, on the basis of complaint, the process has been expedited to stop transactions in bank accounts of fraudsters.
Upgrade software after opening of range cyber station
With the opening of new range cyber police stations in all the five divisions of the state, the preparations for upgrading the software system have also intensified. There is a preparation to use new type of software for data recovery in new police stations. A new type of software system is being developed to recover data related to social media chats.
Exercise to stop transaction of 2 thousand bank accounts
While the police in Raipur district have stopped transactions in 200 bank accounts in the last three years, the process for refund of money has been expedited by stopping transactions in about 2000 bank accounts across the state. A letter has been issued from the State Cyber Police Station to stop bank account transactions only after a large number of victims complain online.
