Raipur. Former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh has made serious allegations of corruption on the state government in Chhattisgarh’s public distribution system allocation. Dr. Singh has written a letter to Union Food Minister Piyush Goyal demanding a CBI inquiry into the PDS scam.

The former CM has alleged that the corruption of Dau Bhupesh Baghel, who stole rice from the plate of the poor of Chhattisgarh, has been exposed. There has been a scam of 68,900 metric tonnes of rice in the state. The reality of the corrupt will come out through the CBI investigation.

In a letter to Piyush Goyal, Dr. Raman has written that the central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working towards a corruption-free India. On the other hand, in Chhattisgarh, big corruption of the government has been exposed in the allocation of ration of the public distribution system. After the formation of the state, the 15-year BJP government in Chhattisgarh, which was suffering from starvation and malnutrition, had formulated a public welfare and smooth policy through PDS. For the poor families of the state in this PDS. The policy of Re 1 kg rice, free salt and gram was included and this PDS was described by the Supreme Court of the country as ideal PDS but in the last 4 and a half years this situation has been completely opposite and the Congress government in Chhattisgarh has made a change in the PDS. Big corruption has been done.

During the BJP regime, the software of the Food Department was made for the transparency of the PDS. Through this, a provision was made to issue 100 percent quota every month on the basis of total cards of all the ration shops in the state. In this software, the formula M1+M2-M3 (M1=full ration of first month), (M2=full ration of second month), M3=(left ration after sale in two months) was adopted. In this process, in the third month, there was a transparent arrangement to give the remaining quota after deducting the remaining quota of the last two months. To make this system effective, computerized declaration forms were taken from all the ration shops, in which information about the remaining quota, received quota, sold quota and remaining quota of that ration shop was given.

After this, the food inspectors used to send this information from their module to the Directorate every month, on the basis of which the remaining quota was reduced and the remaining quota was given. This manifesto was visible in the public participation portal of the department’s software, but the said system was not followed during the Congress regime. Every month the full quota was given to the ration shops and the card holders who did not take the quota were saved. This savings is at least 50 percent
