Saumya Chaurasia, IAS Sameer Bishnoi, Ranu Sahu and Suryakant Tiwari and other accused are lodged in the coal scam case. All these accused are not attending the court for the last three hearings nor are they connecting through video conferencing.

Before the elections in the state, ED had taken major actions. ED had also conducted continuous raids on the locations of officials and close to the government. Sameer Bishnoi, Ranu Sahu and Soumya Chaurasia are in jail in judicial custody. All these three officers were close to the previous government.
