Bilaspur. The OSD appointed by the state government is also proving unsuccessful in fixing the mess in the Medical College CIMS located in Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh. During the hearing of PIL in Bilaspur High Court on Thursday, OSD of SIMS admitted that there is no work culture among the doctors of SIMS. Doctors concentrate mostly on private practice. On this, the High Court has scheduled the next hearing on December 6, terming the Dean and MS as failures.

It is being told that recently, High Court Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha had taken cognizance of the irregularities in SIMS. After this the matter is being heard as a public interest litigation. In an earlier hearing, the High Court had directed senior IAS of the state government, R Prasanna, working as OSD of SIMS, to submit his detailed report in the court. The OSD has submitted its report in the DB of Chief Justice and Justice Ravindra Agarwal. Presented. The High Court had appointed advocates Surya Kanwalkar Dangi, Apoorva Tripathi and Sangharsh Pandey as court commissioners and asked them to conduct a complete investigation in SIMS and submit their report. Court commissioners also presented their reports.

OSD said – provision not clear

It was told in the report that many doctors also do private practice. On this the Chief Justice asked that he must be getting non-practice allowance. It was told that the government provides this in the district hospital. But since SIMS is a medical college, the provision here is not clear. During the hearing, Court Commissioner Apoorva Tripathi said that many private diagnostic centers are also running right in front of SIMS. Due to lack of many test SIMs, patients have to come here.
