Raipur. After the announcement of the name of tribal leader Vishnu Dev Sai for the post of CM in Chhattisgarh, the names of the Deputy CM of the state have also been revealed. Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma will be the Deputy CMs of Chhattisgarh and former CM and Rajnandgaon MLA Dr Raman Singh will be the Assembly Speaker.
Arun Saav comes from Lormi
Presently Lormi MLA Arun Sao is a big face coming from OBC category, last year he had taken the responsibility of state president. Earlier, Arun Sao was elected MP from Bilaspur on BJP ticket in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Shri Sao comes from Sahu community of OBC community and is a big face from the OBC class in the state. Arun Sao had contested the Assembly elections 2023 from Lormi Assembly seat where he was facing Congress candidate Thaneshwar Sahu.
Vijay Sharma is MLA from Kawardha.
Kawardha MLA Vijay Sharma is the state general secretary of BJP in Chhattisgarh. He has been the state president of BJP Yuva Morcha. Vijay Sharma has become MLA for the first time by winning the Chhattisgarh Assembly elections 2023. In this election, BJP had fielded him from Kawardha seat of Kabirdham district in which he defeated Bhupesh Baghel’s Khas and his government’s minister Mohammad Akbar by a margin of 39,592 votes.
Dr. Raman has commanded the state thrice
Dr. Raman Singh, the current MLA from Rajnandgaon and three-time Chief Minister, is a well-known name of the state. After Vishnudev Sai became the CM, speculations about him intensified. But after the party wins the 2023 assembly elections, the party can give him the responsibility of assembly speaker.
