In his press conference, he said that, I have come on surprise checking, a few months ago we had received many complaints of irregularities in PDS shops. For this, a committee came here in May 2023 for investigation and during the investigation, a discrepancy of 65701 metric tons was found. An advisory was issued from our side on the mistakes, but the government did not pay any attention to it. Shri Goyal said that there have been irregularities in the food grains provided to the poor from the Centre. He said that, till two days ago on September 13, the situation was such that till now the state government has been able to give only 53 lakh tonnes of rice to the Centre. Whereas the state government itself had said to provide 58 lakh tonnes of rice. The Chief Minister here is misleading the public by telling lies. Shri Goyal said that the Congress government is doing politics of lies and deception.
The state government is lying
Union Minister Shri Goyal said that the state government is misleading the public and farmers on the figures of rice in the central bridge. Whereas the state government itself has promised to provide 58 lakh tonnes of rice. The state government is lying in the name of 86 lakh tonnes of rice, there is no fertilizer crisis in the state. Hundred percent fertilizer has been given by the Central Government to the State Government.
People and farmers have faith in Modi
He further said that Congress’s defeat is certain in Chhattisgarh. Congress should not mislead the public in the election year. The farmers and people here have faith in the Modi government. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel should apologize to the farmers. They are lying to the farmers in the name of the central government. The Chief Minister is ignoring the biometric system in the paddy procurement of the government, this shows that the state government is eager to scam.
High level team will investigate rice mills
Union Minister Piyush Goyal directed officials to inspect the rice mills and said that, a high level team will inspect the rice mills. Why is 54 kg rice given per quintal instead of 67 kg rice? This is also a big mistake, which will also be investigated by the team.
