Raipur. After the defeat in the assembly elections, the anger of the Congressmen deprived of tickets has started rising against the party officials. In this context, continuous statements are being made against the leaders of the Congress Party. Due to their statements against party leaders, the party expelled two former MLAs from the primary membership of the party for 6 years. Now this matter is going to reach the party high command in Delhi. Both the former MLAs of the party will go to Delhi on Friday and meet Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge and give him clarification regarding their allegations.

During the assembly elections, Congress had denied tickets to 22 MLAs citing their performance. Of these, MLA from Manendragarh Dr. Vinay Jaiswal won the elections in 2018. The party did not give him ticket in the assembly elections 2023. Since then he has been making statements against the party leaders. During the elections he announced to contest from another party. Did not contest elections after consultation. After the party’s defeat in the elections, he accused the secretary in-charge of taking Rs 7 lakh. Brihaspat Singh was the MLA from Ramanujganj. He has won elections from here twice. This time he was not given the ticket on the basis of performance. Congress lost the elections on both the seats. After the defeat, he held state in-charge Selja and TS Singhdev responsible for the defeat.

Meeting of 15 MLAs at Jaiswal’s house

Former MLA Brihaspat Singh said, action has been taken against us because we are tribal and Vinay Jaiswal belongs to backward class. No action is being taken against those who are doing wrong. Whatever is being said, action is being taken on it. Why was no action taken against cabinet minister Jaisingh Aggarwal? Why was no action taken against TS Singhdev due to whom Congress lost power? Why was no action taken against Selja, who kept covering his activities and supporting him? 15 former Congress MLAs held a separate meeting from the party at Vinay Jaiswal’s house on Thursday and discussed the reasons for the defeat.

Will meet National President Mallikarjun Kharge

Regarding their next step, former MLA Brihaspat Singh said, more than a dozen former MLAs have decided to go to Delhi on Thursday regarding this action. Have taken time to meet National President Mallikarjun Kharge there. Going to Delhi on Friday, some of our friends have left on Thursday.

Congress wiped out in Surguja division
