According to the information received, angry villagers have blocked the Keregaon Gattasilli Tiraha of Sihawa town of Dhamtari district with their demand. Chakkajam has been organized by the villagers under the banner of Community Forest Resources Sangharsh Committee. Raising slogans against the government and administration, the villagers demanded that the government and administration should provide them compensation for the land occupied under the Bharatmala scheme. He further said that till now the land ownership of the lands occupied by 110 villages has not been given to them. Under the Rajiv Gandhi Nyaya Yojana, the government had promised to give land lease to farmers and tribals and it has also been given. During the conversation, the villagers said that neither compensation has been given to us nor land ownership has been given, for which we have protested today.
