State BJP’s senior leader Lilaram Bhojwani is not only in the city, but in the entire state, he is one of the few people who started his politics with Jansangh. popularly known as Kakaji

There is a wave of mourning not only in Sanskardhani but in the entire state due to the news of the demise of Bhojwani, popularly known as Kakaji. Bhojwani’s political journey was full of ups and downs. Bhojwani, who has traveled the journey of corporator, journalism and cabinet minister of the state, used to meet the general to the special people with great simplicity.

His political journey started by joining Jansangh

Influenced by the national ideology in the 1960s, Bhojwani joined the Jana Sangh. Then he used to run a cycle shop in Junihatery and by joining the workers of BNC Mills, he was also fighting for their rights. After joining the Jana Sangh, he got the corporator ticket in 1965. He lost this election. After this, in 1970, the party gave him another chance and he won the election and became the councilor and vice-president. After this he worked towards strengthening the organization for ten years. Meanwhile, he was also associated with journalism.

Bhojwani was labor minister of Madhya Pradesh

After laying the foundation of BJP in the state, he got a chance to contest the assembly elections in 1985, in which he had to face defeat. Seeing the popularity of Bhojwani, the party again declared him as its candidate in 1990. Bhojwani defeated the Congress in this election and was also made the labor minister of Madhya Pradesh. While being the Labor Minister, he also got the Labor Court established in Rajnandgaon.

BJP awarded him many posts

In the elections held in 1995, he contested against Uday Mudaliar of Congress, in which he was defeated once again. In 1998, the party gave him another chance and he won the election and became MLA for the second time. After the formation of Chhattisgarh, the party also made him a candidate for the Lok Sabha by-election in 2006, but he lost the election. During the BJP government in the state, the party also honored him with many posts.

Everyone’s favorite Bhojwani

Bhojwani may have completed his entire political journey with Jana Sangh and BJP, but he was very popular in other parties including Congress. This is the reason why, when he became a councilor in the municipality for the first time in 1970, he was elected vice-president with the help of the Congress despite not having a majority there. After the formation of the state, before the assembly elections, late Ajit Jogi, who was the head of the state, had also urged Bhojwani to join the Congress, but he refused.
