Kawardha. Under the banner of Indian Farmers Union, thousands of farmers are protesting against 13-point demands in Kawardha district of Chhattisgarh. Police stopped the farmers at Rani Durgavati Chowk by placing barricades 100 meters before the Collector’s office.
This is the demand of the farmers
1.Farmers should be given share of sugarcane.
2.The support price of sugarcane should be Rs 450.
3. Demand for ethanol plants in all four blocks and new sugar factory in Lohara block.
4. Sutiapat Canal Expansion
5. To increase the irrigation capacity of all dams.
And are protesting for various demands.
