  • Registered company lodged complaint on use of ‘Chuski’

Raipur. Police have registered a case of fraud against the businessman for using the popular name Chuski in his tea leaves business. The representative of the company registered in the name of Jain Chuski has filed a complaint in this matter with Tikrapara police station against the businessman in Durg and Kawardha. It has been argued in the complaint that the tea leaf named Jain Chuski is very popular, but the substandard product with the same name is having an adverse effect in the market.

Yashwant Jain, proprietor of Jain Chuski, said in his complaint that Hemant alias Harish Goyal of Durg is doing tea leaf business in the market using the name Chuski, due to which his business is getting affected. By doing this they are fraudulently violating the Copyright Act. Yashwant had also told in his complaint that a crime was registered against Hemant in Durg and Kawardha also. Tikrapara police have registered an offense under section 420 and violation of trademark rules in this case. The station in-charge said that investigation is still going on in the matter, after which the arrest process will be completed.
