Rahul Yadav-Lormi. A female elephant has been found dead in Bhootkachar circle of Lormi-Khudiya forest area in Mungeli district of Chhattisgarh. Serious injuries are visible on the elephant’s legs and neck. This incident is said to have happened 2 days ago. The place where the female was found dead is in compartment 486 of Bhootchhar located in Khudia forest area.
Actually, a herd of elephants had damaged a house in Katami. After which, after receiving the information, the Forest Department team reached the spot. The female elephant died two days after damaging the house, so villagers suspected poaching. The team of forest officers has reached the spot. The investigation into the elephant’s death is ongoing. However, nothing has been said departmentally yet.
