Yashwant Ganjeer/Kurud- The much awaited demand of railway underbridge and rack point of Kurud, Chhattisgarh has now been fulfilled. Kurud MLA Ajay Chandrakar had demanded these two works from the Railways from the point of view of public convenience. Which has been completed by South Eastern Central Railway Management.
According to the information received, underbridge will be constructed at the railway crossing in village Achoti of Kurud and railway rack point will be constructed in village Atang. With the construction of railway underbridge in Achoti, traffic will become easier. The farmers and traders of Kurud will benefit from the construction of railway rack point in village Atang. With the coming of this railway yard, there will be ample employment opportunities in the entire district including Kurud Nagar. Regional MLA Ajay Chandrakar had talked about the availability of about 30 acres of government land in village Atang, located 5 kilometers from Kurud, for the construction of a warehouse during his meeting with Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav.

It is noteworthy that Kurud MLA Ajay Chandrakar had demanded both the works from Railways as expansion of facilities. More than 50 rice mills are operating in the area including Kurud Nagar, with a capacity of 2.50 lakh tonnes per year. Which are mainly related to the work of government custom milling. Also about 2600 metric tons per rank CMR deposits rice in the central pool and FCI. Ravi and Kharif crops are produced in abundance in Kurud region. For this reason, apart from the government custom milling work, the rice millers export about 100 ranks of the produced crops to FCI and along with this, the 200-acre food park of Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation is located in village Bagaud, at a short distance from Kurud Railway Station. . Which has become the center of attraction for many industries and currently a solvent plant is also established along with Silver Coin Flower Mill. A warehouse of 6 thousand metric tons will be available here.
