Once again there is a case of riot in Narsinghpur of Kawardha district of Chhattisgarh, where there has been heavy lathicharge and stone pelting between two parties over a land dispute. In this land dispute, 13 people from both sides have been injured and a police constable including Pandariya SDOP has also been injured. At present the police have registered a case against unknown accused and are investigating the matter.

According to the information received, there is a dispute going on for about a year regarding the land of Gandhi Seva Ashram under Narsinghpur village of Pandariya police station area and the hearing of the case is also going on in the SDM court. Two days ago also, people from both sides were called for hearing in the SDM court regarding the same land issue. Meanwhile, an altercation took place between the two sides and everyone returned back to the village. On the same night, people from the other party pelted stones at the house of a Jaiswal family and the CCTV installed in the house and vandalized the vehicle. After which the victim’s family complained to the police.

The dispute between the two parties escalated on Saturday morning and along with stone pelting, sticks were also fired. The police who came to control the matter were also attacked by the accused due to which Pandaria SDOP Pankaj Patel and a constable were injured. After which SP Abhishek Pallav along with a large number of police forces also reached the spot and pacified the matter. The Jaiswal family of the victim’s side is very scared and is not coming out of the house due to fear and has demanded protection from the police. Police are calling the matter quiet but the atmosphere in the village remains tense.
