Sandeep Karihar- Bilaspur. The anger against the police in Bilaspur, the judicial court of Chhattisgarh, is not subsiding. There is anger among the people over the filing of a counter case by colluding with the accused in the assault case in Masturi police station of the district. Regarding this, on Friday local traders announced a bandh in support of the victim youth. Due to this bandh, shops remained locked throughout the day.
In fact, a few days ago, a young man was attacked with sticks by Vikramjit Anant, brother of Youth Congress leader Vishwajit Anant, Balamjit and his associates. After this, the attackers, in collusion with the police, filed a case against the injured youth. In this case of assault, based on the report of the victim youth, the police have registered a case of simple assault against the attackers. Since then, anger among the local people has increased. The angry people raised questions on the working system of the police and surrounded the police station and created a ruckus.
SP has promised to investigate the case and provide justice to the victim.
To pacify the protesters, the police had registered a case against the victim and assured them of investigation. But since then the police has not conducted any kind of investigation till now. Rather, a case has been registered against the victim youth in collusion with the accused. In protest against this, the local traders of Masturi announced a bandh on Friday, after which they kept the shops closed for the whole day and demanded justice for the victimized youth. Here in this case, SP Santosh Kumar has said that after investigating the case, he will give proper justice to the victim and has said that sections will be increased against the culprits on the basis of the medical report.
