CG NEWS: A grand procession of Guru Ghasidas was taken out from Amapara Plaza in the capital, led by seven white flag carrying saints.

Uma Ghritalhare – Raipur. Every year, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Ghasidas Baba Ji, a procession was taken out on 16 December in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. In this procession, along with the exact model of Jaitkham decorated with colorful lights, people related to the life events of Baba Guru Ghasidas were also taken out. Many floating tableaux were taken out on Saturday. This time especially beautiful tableaux were included in the procession. Satnam was released on the eve of the 267th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Ghasidas, the founder of Satnam religion. Watch the video –

People arrived with pantheon dance troupe to join the procession. Seven saints of Satnami community, dressed in white dhoti, kurta and white cloth on their heads, with open feet and seven white flags decorated with flowers, proceeded from Amapara. The procession passed through Amapara Plaza via Azad Chowk, Purani Basti, Budhapara, Mahatma Gandhi Sadan and ended at Mahila Thana, Motibagh Chowk near Guru Ghasidas Chowk Nagarghadi.

The purpose of this journey is that Baba Guru Ghasidas awakened the flame of truth, non-violence and gave the slogan of equality between people. During this time, when the procession moved forward shouting Jai Satnam, people welcomed it everywhere, including Jaistambh Chowk, Ghadi Chowk and whatever route the procession took. A large number of people from Satnami will participate in this along with their families. Artists of Panthi dance group along with attractive tableaux will be seen enhancing the beauty of the Yatra. Along with this, cultural glimpses of DJs and folk artists were the center of attraction. On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Ghasidas in the capital, a grand procession was taken out under the leadership of saints, in which the bravery of the Akhara team was seen.
