Suresh Sahu – Magarload. Dhamtari district is divided into three assemblies. Sihawa assembly area number 56 of the district is reserved due to tribal dominance. Nagri and Magarlod development blocks are included in Sihawa assembly. Magarlod development block is considered a stronghold of Congress. Till now BJP has won the elections twice. In this assembly, MLAs are elected from Sihawa, urban area only. This time, former BJP MLA Shravan Markam, who hails from Sihawa, and former Congress MLA Ambika Markam have been given tickets. But with the election of EE Jeevarakhan Lal Marai, who holds a social position in Sihawa, Nagari tribal area and retired from the RES department, as the candidate from Hamar Raj Party, the calculations of BJP and Congress have been disturbed. Triangular contest is in full swing in Sihawa Assembly.

Issues disappear, manifesto dominates

BJP is in the election field on the guarantee announcement of the Prime Minister and Congress on the announcement of the Chief Minister and Hamar Raj Party has made the issue of water, forest and land an issue. Which party will the voters of the area accept and support? It is difficult to say but the triangular contest is in full swing in Sihawa Assembly Assembly. There are 102 gram panchayats and 235 villages in the urban development block under Sihawa assembly constituency. Similarly, there are 47 gram panchayats and 89 villages in Magarlod development block.
