Raipur. Congress party is churning in Delhi over the defeat in Chhattisgarh. Regarding the defeat, Mr. Singhdev said that it is clearly visible that we have lagged behind in the tribal area. We have been able to win 11 out of 29 seats in the tribal area. We have been able to win three to four seats in urban and semi-urban areas. Our vote share has not fallen, but BJP’s vote share has increased. This is the responsibility of every person in the polling booth, from me to every colleague… it should be taken.
This is not the right time to discuss EVM, but I am not in favor of EVM.
On the questions being raised by some Congress leaders regarding EVMs, Mr. Singhdev said that it does not seem appropriate to raise the issue of EVMs after losing. However, I am not in favor of EVM because most of the developed countries have abandoned this system. Voting is done there by balance, whether it is America, Great Britain or any other country. However, there is no time to discuss it.
More than Rs 100 crore found in Congress MP’s house, TS says investigation should be done
The Income Tax Department has found more than Rs 100 crore in cash in raids at the residences of Congress Rajya Sabha MP from Jharkhand, Dheeraj Sahu. On this question, Mr. Singhdev said that if the money has been received, it is a matter of investigation. Where did the money come from…who does it belong to…investigation should be done, action should be taken.
