Kanker. Naxalite efforts to influence the elections continue. At some places there were encounters with soldiers and at some places polling booths were targeted. Naxalites had an encounter with a joint team of BSF-DRG at 1 pm in village Panawar. Many Naxalites have been injured and killed in this encounter.

According to the information received, the encounter took place in the forests of Bande Maad, Pakhanjur and Uliya of Kanker. In this encounter that lasted for half an hour, a farmer working in the field was also shot. After the encounter, the security forces sent the injured farmer Doge Ram Nureti to the Primary Health Center. AK 47 weapon has also been recovered from the spot. At present the search operation is going on in the area.
