Raipur- Before the assembly elections in Chhattisgarh, the BJP is continuously announcing the names of the candidates. In this episode, the candidate for another assembly has been announced. This time retired IAS Neelkanth Tekam has been fielded from Keshkal Assembly. This has been announced by BJP’s National Vice President and former CM Dr. Raman Singh. Also appealed to the workers to make Tekam win with a huge majority.

When did Neelkanth become active in politics?

Let us tell you, retired IAS Neelkanth Tekam was born in Antagarh block of Kanker. He completed his studies from here and remained active in student politics while doing college. In 1987-88, he was made the President of the Students’ Union of Kanker College. Whereas, after graduation in Sociology in 1989, he was selected as a teacher in 1991 for only 7 days. After a few days, he became a professor at Khandwa Mahila College in undivided Madhya Pradesh and topped the Madhya Pradesh PSC in 1994. After this he was selected as Deputy Collector for Bastar.
