CG CRIME: Surveillance criminals caught selling liquor, ganja smuggler arrested

Raipur. Ahead of the elections, a campaign is underway to nab hooligans and scoundrels in the city. Meanwhile, after receiving information about suspicious areas, police raids are underway. On Tuesday, the police made revelations in three different cases. An area vigilante was caught selling ganja, while two criminals were caught red-handed doing illegal liquor business.

According to the police, after intensifying the investigation and activating informers in the areas, information was received about the illegal business of the accused. Police has taken action against two miscreants in DD Nagar. In the case of selling ganja, a liquor smuggler has been arrested in New Rajendra Nagar police station and Amanaka police station. ASP Rural Neeraj Chandrakar says, just before the implementation of the code of conduct, the hideouts of old goons and miscreants are also being raided in the city. The campaign will continue further also. The old criminals have been listed.

DD Nagar Police Station – Police arrested the accused Narayan Yadav alias Tipu 45 from Changorabhatha area. At the behest of the accused, 80 pavva liquor was recovered. During the investigation itself, old criminal Nikesh Yadav was caught with a sharp knife on Monday evening.

New Rajendra Nagar Police Station – Accused Kishan Jharia was caught after receiving information about smuggling of ganja near RDA building. The accused is a resident of New Rajendra Nagar area. He had brought 5 kg of ganja with him. He was caught on Monday evening. The value of the recovered ganja is Rs 50 thousand.

Amanaka Police Station – Shravan Netam. Information was received about the old scoundrel selling liquor. On Monday afternoon, the patrol team raided the hideout of the accused and caught him selling liquor. 40 pav of country liquor was also recovered from the accused. The accused was involved in suspicious business.
