According to the information received, on September 15, villager Firangi Patel, a resident of village Semra of Gidhauri police station area, was lured by the accused by giving him more notes to pass fake notes and tricking him into taking less money in return. The accused reached the house of Pitambar Bariha, Firangi Patel and gave real notes of Rs 800 instead of fake notes. Firangi made a purchase with that money to verify the authenticity of the note. The villagers fell into their trap when the notes were circulated in the market.

One and a half lakh rupees were looted by threatening

The robbers tricked the villager into giving him fake notes of Rs 13 lakh instead of Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand. Pitamber told Firangi that at 6 pm his associate Jaylal Bariha would bring 13 lakh rupees and asked him to bring 1 lakh 50 thousand real rupees near Khapridih drain. When Firangi reached there, he found Pitambar Bariha and Jayalal Bariha. Then they forcibly threatened you by saying that you don’t know us, there are other people around us, you will lose your life and ran away after looting ₹ 1,50,000. The villager lodged a complaint of robbery at Gidhauri police station. Taking immediate action on this complaint, the police arrested both the accused from Mahasamund district.

A motorcycle Platina used in the incident and out of the looted ₹ 1,50,000, total goods and cash ₹ 74,400 have been seized. The accused have been arrested, presented in the Honorable Court and sent to Sub Jail Balodabazar in judicial custody.
