Arrested Anwar Dhebar’s difficulties increased: Court sent in ED custody for 4 days, action taken in money laundering case

Raipur. Raipur court has sent businessman Anwar Dhebar, arrested in Chhattisgarh money laundering case, to Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody for four days. ED had asked for 14 days remand, but the court gave only 4 days remand. Let us tell you that for some time the ED is probing the case of money laundering in Chhattisgarh. In this episode, the ED had detained businessman Anwar Dhebar late on Friday night.

It is worth mentioning that, a few days ago the Income Tax Department raided the house and other premises of the Dhebar family. After this, the ED also recently raided the places of Mayor Ejaz and his elder brother Anwar in order to raid liquor traders. Dhebar had informed in a press conference at Rajeev Bhavan that the ED team had come to his house with a notice, but his brother’s house was searched without notice and the whole house was thrown into disarray.

Anwar Dhebar did not go on ED’s notice

Two days ago, Dhebar was called for questioning by the ED. He went with his supporters. His supporters stayed put till late night and returned from there only after Ejaz came out. It is being told that Anwar Dhebar did not go to the notice of ED. After this, the ED took him into custody late on Friday night. Along with them, the GM of the hotel is also reported to have been detained. After the arrest, Anwar Dhebar was presented in Raipur court on Saturday afternoon. ED presented Dhebar in the court of Judge Ajay Singh and demanded 14 days remand but the court has given remand for only 4 days. ED sources said that some businessmen of the city, in connivance with the officials of the Excise Department, made illegal earnings from liquor and did money laundering. The investigation of this matter is going on.

The mayor was called to the ED office

On the one hand, the ED has taken action to arrest Anwar Dhebar. On the other hand, the mayor of his brother city Ejaz Dhebar was also called by the ED to the office for questioning. On Tuesday itself, the ED had kept him sitting in his office for about 12 hours. After this, he has been called to the Enforcement Directorate office again on Saturday. they are being interrogated.
