Raipur- During the press conference of Jogi Congress in the capital Raipur, State President Amit Jogi said about illegal mining activities that, when MP and Chhattisgarh were divided, Digvijay Singh’s government had given permission to De Beers for diamond mining from Mainpur to Devbhog. Then my father and I protested. We did not even give entry to their government in Chhattisgarh. After this the license of the company was cancelled. Since then this matter is going on in the court. But can’t decide.
On handing over the mines to private companies, State President of Janata Congress Amit Jogi said that Congress is giving diamond and gold mines in private hands. Attacking the Congress, Amit Jogi said that the tender should be canceled in three days, else we will agitate in the entire state.

Government should pay attention to illegal mining activities.
Chairman Amit Jogi said that the online tender was issued on 6 July 2023. Tender has been issued for the land spread over 3 thousand hectares. Tender has been issued for gold and diamond mining. How did the government issue the tender in such a hurry? Because I have come to know that the ministers and officials of the government have made official and non-official visits to Australia in the past. But nobody’s attention is paid to the illegal mining activities which are increasing rapidly in the state.
