Lok Sabha Election 2024: Congress is considering making Kanhaiya Kumar a candidate from North East Delhi seat in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. If Kanhaiya gets the ticket from North East Delhi, he will face BJP candidate Manoj Tiwari. Manoj Tiwari has won from this seat in 2014 and 2019 elections.

Kanhaiya Kumar lost in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Kanhaiya Kumar contested from Begusarai Lok Sabha seat of Bihar on Left ticket. He was pitted against senior BJP leader and Union Minister Giriraj Singh. However, Kanhaiya Kumar had to face defeat. Now, it seems that Kanhaiya Kumar is going to leave Bihar and move towards Delhi.

Kanhaiya Kumar can contest elections from this seat of Delhi
There are 7 Lok Sabha seats in Delhi and in the current elections there is an alliance between Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress. Under seat sharing, Congress will contest elections on 3 seats in Delhi. However, Congress has not yet announced its candidates. In such a situation, there is a discussion going on that Congress can field Kanhaiya Kumar from North East Delhi seat, from where Manoj Tiwari is currently the MP and BJP has once again expressed confidence in Manoj Tiwari. In such a situation, if Congress gives ticket to Kanhaiya Kumar from North East Delhi seat, then he will have a direct contest with Manoj Tiwari.

Voting for all seats in Delhi will be held on May 25.
Voting for all seven seats of Delhi (Chandni Chowk, North East Delhi, Delhi East, New Delhi, North West Delhi, West Delhi and South Delhi) will be held on May 25. The last date for nomination is 6th May. The form can be withdrawn till May 9. Whereas, the results of 2024 Lok Sabha elections will come on June 4.
