Bihar: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has been compared with Mahatma Gandhi. On Sunday, posters calling Nitish Kumar as the ‘second Gandhi of the country’ were seen in Patna. These posters were put up by his party leaders. The leaders of Lalu Yadav’s party RJD have taken a dig at this.

Nitish Kumar has been praised for teaching the lesson of equality in these posters. JDU leaders said the Bihar Chief Minister has made a lot of efforts to bring social reforms and said he is following the path adopted by Mahatma Gandhi.

Along with this, many other parties have reacted to the poster calling Nitish Kumar as ‘second Gandhi’. Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Shivanand Tiwari said that the poster has been put up by Nitish Kumar’s devotees, but Mahatma Gandhi should not be insulted. Quoting Ram Manohar Lohia, he said that people like Mahatma Gandhi are born once in thousands of years.

BJP called it despicable

At the same time, BJP also criticized these posters of Nitish Kumar. BJP has targeted JDU calling it demeaning. Bihar BJP state spokesperson Kuntal Krishna said that comparing Nitish Kumar with Mahatma Gandhi is despicable. He further said that Nitish was opposing Lalu for the last thirty years, but now he is sitting in Lalu’s lap for the post of Prime Minister.
