Wrestlers unhappy with the committee constituted by the government, said – dissolve it and form a new committee

The dispute that started between WFI President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and the wrestlers is not taking the name of stopping. Following the serious allegation leveled by the wrestlers against the WFI president, the government has constituted an inspection committee to oversee the functioning of the wrestling federation.

Many big players have been included in this committee, whose names were announced on Monday. On the other hand, the wrestlers have expressed displeasure over the names of the committee members. Olympic winners Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia have expressed their displeasure by tweeting in this regard. Sakshi Malik tweeted on Tuesday that we were assured that we would be consulted before the formation of the Oversight Committee but this was not done. It is very sad that we were not consulted before forming this committee.

At the same time, Bajrang Punia also tweeted. Bajrang Punia tweeted and accused the government that his opinion was not taken before the formation of the committee, he is very sad about this. At the same time, Vinesh Phogat said that we want this monitoring committee to be dissolved. Not only this, he demanded the government to constitute a new committee.

Let us tell you that the wrestlers who brought laurels to the country and won medals from the Olympics staged a sit-in at Jantar Mantar for three days. These wrestlers have accused Wrestling Federation President Brij Bhushan Singh of sexual harassment and corruption. After this dharna that lasted for three days, on Saturday, January 21, Minister Anurag Thakur announced the formation of an inquiry committee. Earlier on Friday late night, the wrestlers had decided to call off their strike after a meeting with Anurag Thakur.
