Wrestlers Protest:The protest by wrestlers at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar against Wrestling Federation of India President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh continues for the third day on Friday. Wrestlers have made several serious allegations, including sexual harassment, against the WFI president and several coaches. Wrestlers demand that the President of the Wrestling Federation of India, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, be sacked. On the other hand, WFI Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has refused to resign, denying the allegations of the wrestlers. At the same time, the Indian Olympic Association has called an urgent meeting at 5:45 pm today to discuss the allegations of the wrestlers.

The Indian Olympic Association has called an urgent Executive Council meeting to discuss the issues of the protesting wrestlers. IOA was written by more than 30 big players of the country including wrestlers Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik, Ravi Dahiya and Deepak Punia. After this, the Indian Olympic Association has called an urgent meeting of the Executive Council at 5.45 pm today to discuss and decide on the issue of wrestlers. Along with this, once again on Friday, Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur will meet the protesting players.

Earlier on Wednesday (January 18), the Sports Ministry had said that if the WFI does not respond in the next three days, the Sports Ministry will initiate action against the federation under the provisions of the National Sports Development Code, 2011.

Significantly, more than 30 big players of the country, including wrestlers Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik, Ravi Dahiya and Deepak Punia, have made many serious allegations against Indian Wrestling Federation President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and several coaches, including sexual exploitation. In protest against which many players are protesting at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar since Wednesday (January 18). Wrestlers say that the protest will continue until the Indian Olympic Federation President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh is not sacked.

Let us tell you that for the third consecutive day, the strike of wrestlers is going on at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Players started gathering at Jantar Mantar at 10 am. The players say that until the President of the Wrestling Federation of India does not resign and no action is taken against him, the protest will continue. At the same time, WFI President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh is not ready to resign. In such a situation, Jantar Mantar has become the arena of competition for wrestling players.
