Visakhapatnam Road Accident: A road accident took place in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday. Actually, there was a massive collision between a speeding auto and a lorry (truck) at an intersection in the city. Many school children were traveling in the auto. 8 children have been injured in the accident. This accident happened at the intersection of Sangam Theater in the city. The entire incident of the accident has been captured in CCTV. Its video is also going viral on social media.

Eight students were injured

According to media reports, the condition of one of the eight students killed in the accident is said to be critical. After the accident, the truck driver and his companion started running away from the spot, but passersby caught them and handed them over to the police. In the video that surfaced, it can be seen that the truck was moving towards the intersection at a very high speed, at the same time a speeding auto also came from the other side. Due to which the auto and truck collided with each other. After the collision, 2-3 children fell out of the car and the auto overturned. Some children remained trapped in the auto. With the help of people, other children trapped in the auto were rescued and immediately taken to the hospital.

One student is in critical condition

Visakhapatnam DCP Srinivas Rao said all eight children have been shifted to a nearby hospital and four of them have already been discharged. At the same time, three more children are undergoing treatment and the condition of one student is critical. He is undergoing treatment. The DCP said that we are investigating whether the truck driver had consumed alcohol. The driver is currently in our custody. He said that investigation has also revealed that more children were sitting in the auto than the capacity. He said that parents should take care not to send their children to school by auto like this.

Police investigating the case

Meanwhile, according to the local police, CCTV footage has been extracted after initial investigation. Apart from this, the police have registered the case and started further action.
