Silkyara Tunnel Workers discharged from AIIms: 41 workers who came out safely from Uttarkashi Silkyara Tunnel in Uttarakhand were transported to Rishikesh AIIMS by the Army’s Chinook helicopter on Wednesday by the Uttarakhand government for medical checkup. After thorough health checkup and mental test of all the laborers at AIIMS, they have been discharged from AIIMS today on Thursday. All of them are now leaving for their home. Officials from their states have arrived here to facilitate their return to their home states.

Among the 41 labourers, 15 are from Jharkhand, 8 from Uttar Pradesh, 5 each from Odisha and Bihar, 3 from West Bengal, 2 each from Uttarakhand and Assam and 1 from Himachal.
