Siddaramaiah will be the next Chief Minister of Karnataka and Karnataka Congress President DK Shivakumar has been given the charge of Deputy CM. The Congress party will hold a Legislature Party meeting in Bengaluru this evening. At the same time, the swearing-in ceremony will be held on May 20 at 12.30 pm in Bengaluru.

Congress Legislature Party meeting today

Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting has been called in Bengaluru at 7 pm today. All India Congress Committee (AICC) central observers Sushil Kumar Shinde, Deepak Bawaria and Bhanwar Jitendra Singh have been asked to reach Bengaluru for the CLP meeting. Siddaramaiah will be elected as the leader of the Congress Legislature Party at a meeting to be held in Bengaluru this evening. With this, the discussion on cabinet formation is also almost complete. Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge worked till late Wednesday night to form the government in Karnataka.

Swearing in ceremony will be held here

Siddaramaiah will be given the charge of CM of Karnataka for the second time after the churning of the CM face in Karnataka for so many days. He has held the office of the Chief Minister of the state from 2013 to 2018. The swearing-in ceremony of Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar will be held at the Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru.
