Reserve Bank New Deputy Governor: The Government of India has appointed Swaminathan Janakiraman as the Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India. Swaminathan has been appointed for three years. Presently, the term of Mahesh Kumar Jain, Deputy Governor of RBI, ends on June 22. Swaminathan Janakiraman has now been appointed as Deputy Governor in his place.
