In Puducherry, 3 people lost their lives and 10 people are in critical condition after drinking poisonous liquor. All the injured are being treated at the city hospital. The incident took place in Marakkanam area of Puducherry. After the incident, politics has started in the state. The opposition termed it as administrative inefficiency of the state government and demanded immediate action.
According to media reports, in the Union Territory of Puducherry denatured alcohol 3 people have died due to drinking. It is being told that the health of 16 people deteriorated after drinking alcohol in Marakkanam area of Puducherry. All were hurriedly admitted to the city’s JIPMER hospital for treatment. During this, 3 people named Suresh, Shankar and Ranivel died, the remaining 13 people are undergoing treatment in the hospital. The condition of 10 of these people is said to be critical.

Opposition demanded immediate action
At the same time, after this incident, politics started in the Union Territory. Criticizing the DMK government, Leader of the Opposition Edappadi K Palanisamy said that measures were taken to stop the sale of spurious liquor during the AIADMK rule, but after the formation of the new government, the purchase of spurious liquor again in the state- Sales started in full swing. Palanisamy termed the incident as administrative inefficiency of the state’s Rangasamy government and demanded immediate action against those responsible for it.
