Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to the southern state of Kerala. PM Modi did a grand roadshow in Kochi on Monday. During this, the PM was wearing the traditional costumes of Kerala. On Tuesday, PM Narendra Modi will flag off the first Vande Bharat Express train in Kerala and lay the foundation stone of development projects worth Rs 3,200 crore, including the country’s first water metro.
Kerala will get its first water metro
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate the country’s first water metro on Tuesday during his visit to Kerala. This is a unique project to connect 10 islands around Kochi through battery operated electric hybrid boats for seamless connectivity with Kochi city. The Kochi Water Metro will operate with 78 electric boats and 38 terminals at a cost of Rs 1,136.83 crore, built by the Kerala government and KfW, a German funding agency.
Vande Bharat Express will be flagged off
Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Narendra Modi) Today itself, Kerala’s first Vande Bharat Express train running from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasargod will be flagged off at Thiruvananthapuram Central Station. Vande Bharat Express will run covering about 11 districts. This will make the journey of the people easy and simple. On the other hand, today Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of Vande Bharat Express and Water Metro as well as projects worth about 3200 crores for the people there.
