Monsoon update: Changes are also being seen in the weather patterns. Somewhere there are showers of rain, and somewhere the heat has made people sweat. People have been waiting for the monsoon for a long time. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has given relief news to the people on Thursday. Monsoon has arrived in Kerala after a week. Earlier on June 5, the Meteorological Department had said that the onset of monsoon is expected over Kerala in the next two days. Monsoon has also taken some time this time due to Biparjoy cyclone.

IMD said that Kerala has received widespread rain during the last 24 hours. It is also cloudy over Southeast Arabian Sea and the strength of westerly winds has increased in the lower levels. It fulfills the conditions for the onset of monsoon. Monsoon has never started after June 8 in the last 20 years. Monsoon reached the southern Indian state of Kerala on May 21 last year. At the same time, in the year 2021, it was knocked on 3rd June.

When will the monsoon reach North India

According to the Meteorological Department, it is moving further into some more parts including Lakshadweep, most parts of Kerala and South Tamil Nadu, remaining parts of Comorin area, Gulf of Mannar, Southwest, Central and Northeast Bay of Bengal. After this, the monsoon will reach the states of North India (North India Monsoon), UP, Bihar, Delhi, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Punjab and Haryana. This time the monsoon will enter North India with a delay of ten days. However, the Meteorological Department also says that with the delay in the monsoon in the states of South India, it will knock late in the states of North India as well.

Monsoon affects countries like India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Myanmar. Monsoon is also of utmost importance in India because most of the farming here depends on monsoon only. There are many crops like tea and rice, which depend on this.
