About a dozen miscreants were hiding here. During this operation, 12 arrested cadres of the KYKL insurgent group had to be released as a mob of around 1200-1500 people led by women and a local leader became shields.

Along with this, the army has made an appeal to the people to exercise restraint to promote peace and stability in Manipur. Not only this, he asked the army to assist in maintaining law and order in the state.
