Maharashtra PoliticsMaharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and NCP rebel leaders have met party chief Sharad Pawar at his office in Mumbai amid the fight to take control of the Nationalist Congress Party. Ajit Pawar, who led the rebellion against Sharad Pawar, ministers Dilip Walse Patil, Hasan Mushrif, Chhagan Bhujbal, Dhananjay Munde, Aditi Tatkare and deputy speakers Narhari Jirwal and Praful Patel have met him.
Ajit Pawar met Sharad Pawar along with rebel MLAs
On July 2, Ajit Pawar and eight NCP MLAs took oath as ministers in the Maharashtra government. The move had led to a split in the organization led by Sharad Pawar. Addressing the media, NCP leader Praful Patel said that we want to keep NCP united, so we requested Pawar saheb to consider it and guide us. He did not respond and listened to us as well. Praful Patel said that we had come without informing him earlier. We came to know that he is in office so we have reached here to seek his blessings.

Ajit Pawar had also met on Friday
Supriya Sule, Jayant Patil and Jitendra Awhad from the Sharad Pawar camp were also present in this meeting. Ajit Pawar on Friday went to Silver Oak, his official residence, to meet NCP supremo’s wife Pratibha Pawar, where she underwent surgery at a hospital here. Ajit Pawar is considered very close to Pratibha. After the assembly elections in 2019, Ajit Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis formed a short-lived government, after which Pratibha Pawar was instrumental in bringing them back to the NCP.
