Till now there was discussion between two names for the post of Chief Minister. At the same time, now a new name has entered the CM’s race. In Delhi, the Congress has to decide on one name between Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar, but in the meantime, in Tumkur of the state, supporters of G Parameshwara protested vigorously to make him the Chief Minister. .

This demand of the supporters of G Parameshwara for the post of CM is another problem for the Congress leadership. G Parameshwara has won the Koratagere assembly seat. Parameshwara contested from this seat for the first time in the year 2008 and in the year 2018 also he became the Deputy Chief Minister in the Congress-JDS government. Along with this, there is also a record of being the longest serving president of the state in the name of Parameshwara.

G Parameshwara has done B.Sc and M.Sc in Agriculture. In addition, he has a PhD in Plant Physiology in Agriculture from the University of Adelaide. In the year 1999, he also became the Minister of State for the first time in the SM Krishna cabinet.

Karnataka Congress President DK Shivakumar has played the emotional card today before leaving for Delhi on Tuesday. He said that the party is like a mother and I will not backstab anyone or blackmail anyone. If the party wants, they will hand over the responsibility to me. Our primary goal will be to win 20 seats from Karnataka in the Lok Sabha elections.
