In view of the Karnataka assembly elections, all the parties have stepped up their preparations. In this episode, today i.e. on Tuesday, the Congress party has released another list of its candidates. The Congress has also given the name of Jagdish Shettar, who left the BJP and joined the Congress, in this list. The party has fielded Shettar from the Hubli-Dharwad Central seat. During this, the party has released a list of total 7 candidates. In such a situation, Congress will now announce candidates for only 8 seats.

BJP did not give ticket to Jagdish Shettar

Please tell that BJP did not give ticket to Jagadish Shettar for Karnataka assembly elections. Because of this, he had decided to leave the BJP and join the Congress. Now Congress has nominated Jagdish Shettar from Hubli-Dharwad Central seat.

The third list was released on 15 April

Earlier, on April 15, the Congress had released the third list of candidates for the Karnataka Assembly elections. The list contained the names of 43 candidates. In this list, Congress gave ticket to former deputy CM Laxman Savadi, who left BJP, from Athani seat. Former Deputy CM of Karnataka Laxman Savadi joined Congress on 14 April. BJP did not give ticket to Laxman Savadi, due to which he joined Congress.

Laxman Savadi took the membership of the party in front of Congress State President DK Shivakumar. Savadi had decided to join the Congress party after meeting DK Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah. On Savadi joining Congress, Shivakumar said that he has been inducted into the party unconditionally. The former deputy CM was feeling humiliated in the BJP, so he took this step.

The second list was released on 6 April

The Congress party had released the second list for the Karnataka Assembly Elections 2023 on 6 April. On May 10, Karnataka will vote for the 224-member assembly, the results of which will be declared on May 13. The Congress has fielded Darshan Puttannaiah of the Sarvodaya Karnataka Party from the Melukote assembly seat. Earlier, Congress had announced the names of 100 candidates in the first list.
