Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) R. R. Swain gave this information on Sunday. He told that on December 9, when Constable Mohammad Hafeezchak was returning home, he was targeted and attacked in Bemina area. The DGP revealed that the plot was hatched by Pakistan-based terrorist Arjumand alias Hamza Burhan, who collaborated with local mastermind Danish Ahmed Malla to carry out the attack.

He told that Constable Chak had survived the attack. Along with this, the arrested persons have been identified as Imtiaz Khande and Mehnan Khan, who are considered to be ‘hybrid’. Let us tell you that hybrid terrorists are those who carry out attacks and then go back to leading a regular life. Of which there was no previous record.

He further said that Malla recruited Khande and Khan, who kept the policeman under surveillance for several days before carrying out the attack. He said the weapon used in the attack was a Turkish pistol, the Canik TP9. Which has been recovered.

During interrogation, the arrested terrorists revealed that they had prepared a list of their targets, which mainly included policemen, but also included non-policemen.
