IPL 2024, SRH vs MI: Sunrisers Hyderabad broke the record for the highest score in the Indian Premier League (IPL) by scoring 277/3 in 20 overs against Mumbai Indians at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday, March 27.
Travis Head, playing his first IPL this season, scored a brilliant 62 runs in 24 balls, while Abhishek Sharma gave a good start to Hyderabad by scoring 63 runs in 23 balls. After this, Heinrich Klaasen’s 80 and Aiden Markram’s 42 runs helped Hyderabad score the biggest score in IPL history.

Hyderabad broke RCB’s 11 year old record
Sunrisers Hyderabad broke Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (currently Bengaluru) record of highest IPL score of 263 runs. RCB had made this score against Pune Warriors India in the year 2013, when Chris Gayle had scored unbeaten 175 runs.

Tilak Verma scored the most runs for MI
For Mumbai Indians, Ishan Kishan scored 34 runs in 13 balls, Rohit Sharma scored 26 runs in 12 balls and Naman scored 30 runs in 14 balls. At one time, Tilak Verma’s explosive inning of 64 runs in 34 balls had kept Mumbai’s hopes of victory alive. Captain Hardik Pandya could score only 24 runs in 20 balls. Tim David scored 42 runs in 22 balls and Romario Shepherd scored 15 runs.
