Devon Conway Ruled Out Of IPL 2024 : Chennai Super Kings have suffered a major setback during IPL 2024. Its opening batsman Devon Conway has been ruled out of IPL 2024. For this reason the franchise decided to replace him. This season, Rachin Ravindra is opening the innings for New Zealand in place of Conway.

In place of Devon Conway, Chennai Super Kings have included English fast bowler Richard Gleeson in the team. Gleeson has played 6 T20s for England and has 9 wickets to his name. He made his debut against India in 2022 only. Gleeson has played 90 T20 matches so far and has taken 101 wickets in them. He will join Chennai Super Kings for a base price of Rs 50 lakh.

Conway was involved with Chennai Super Kings in the last two seasons. He had scored 924 runs in 23 matches. It includes 9 half-centuries. In this, 92 not out is his best score. Chennai Super Kings is at third position in the points table this season. CSK has won 4 and lost 2 in 6 matches and has 8 points.
