INDIA Alliance Meeting: The important meeting of the India Alliance, formed to prevent the victory of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, was to be held on Wednesday i.e. 6th December. However, now this meeting has been postponed. After Mamata Banerjee, Akhilesh Yadav and Nitish Kumar were also unlikely to attend the meeting. For this reason the meeting has been postponed. The date of the next meeting will be decided later.

Political equations changed in India Alliance

Amidst the defeat of Congress in three states, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge had hurriedly called a meeting of India Alliance in Delhi on 6 December. Initially it was revealed that this meeting was to forget the failure and decide the strategy for the new fight in the 2024 elections. But the equations between the alliance partners have changed in a single day. Trinamool blamed Congress’s ‘bullying’ for election rigging in three states. Other opposition regional parties are blaming Congress’s attitude of fighting alone everywhere and rejecting the offer of alliance despite being shut down. In such a situation, questions have arisen on the coordination between the alliances.

Mamta Banerjee has refused

When Mamata Banerjee was asked about the meeting of India Alliance on Monday, she said that I have no information about it. I was not told anything over the phone. Also, I am going to North Bengal. I can reach on the evening of 6th. I will stay there for a few days. But if I had known, I would have arranged the program differently. As a result, it became clear that Trinamool would not be at the meeting. This time JDU’s Nitish Kumar and Samajwadi Party’s Akhilesh Yadav also did not attend the meeting. After this the meeting was adjourned. It is clear that Congress’s defeat in three states at the end of 2023 is creating a major rift in the opposition alliance before 24.
