Congress Crowdfunding: The country’s oldest party Congress needs money to contest elections. That is why the party has now sought help from the people of the country. Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal, while addressing a press conference at the party headquarters in Delhi on Saturday, gave information about the ‘Donate for DESH’ campaign and encouraged Congress officials to donate Rs. 1380.

When will this campaign start

This campaign is a crowd funding campaign. It will start from 18th December. KC Venugopal claimed that this would be the biggest crowdfunding campaign ever. KC Venugopal said that Congress is proud to announce the launch of its online crowd funding campaign Donate for the country. Venugopal said that our inaugural campaign ‘Better for India’ celebrates the 138-year journey of the Indian National Congress. He further said that embracing our history, we invite supporters to donate Rs 138 or Rs 1380 or Rs 13,800 or more, symbolizing the party’s enduring commitment to a better India.

He further said that two channels have been created for this online crowdfunding, one through a dedicated online portal Donateinc.in and the other through the official website of the Indian National Congress www.inc.in.

This initiative is inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s historic Tilak Swaraj Fund in 1920-21. The party president will officially launch the campaign on December 18 in Delhi. We encourage our state level officials, elected representatives, DCC Presidents, PCC Presidents and AICC to take up this campaign. Meanwhile, Congress Treasurer Ajay Maken said that those who want to donate must be Indian citizens and above 18 years of age.
