Yatra attacked while passing through Muslim colony

According to media reports, Shaurya Yatra was organized by Bajrang Dal between Kaida and Selamba villages. When the Yatra was passing through a Muslim colony, some unruly elements suddenly started pelting stones at the Yatra. After this both the sides came face to face. During that time some people set fire to the shops.

Police remained a mute spectator due to lack of weapons

Let us tell you that during the Shaurya Yatra, some policemen were also present at the yatra site, but they did not have weapons. Because of this the police failed to control the crowd. Many people were injured in stone pelting, while many shops, houses and vehicles were also damaged in the arson. At present, forces from several police stations and additional forces have been deployed at the incident site. The district police is monitoring the situation.
