Among those who died in this incident, there are 4 passengers including ASI of Railway Police Force. RPF constable Chetan fired at everyone. The incident took place between Vapi to Borivali-Mira Road station. After this firing, there was a stir in the train. GRP Mumbai jawans have arrested the constable between Mira Road Borivali.

According to media reports, the constable got into an argument with his colleague and when some people intervened, the accused opened fire, killing four people. The incident took place around 5 am when people were sleeping. The passengers woke up after hearing the gunshot. It is being told that the constable was suffering from depression for some time.

The Western Railway issued a statement saying that an RPF constable fired inside the moving Jaipur Express train after it crossed Palghar station. He shot an RPF ASI and three other passengers and jumped out of the train near Dahisar station. The accused constable has been arrested along with his weapon. Along with this, information has been given to DCP North GRP. All the bodies will be taken to the hospital for post-mortem from Borivali Railway Station. At this time all the dead bodies are kept at the railway station itself. Along with this, the police is also interrogating the accused.
