Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday took a dig at Congress over the cash scandal. PM Modi on Tuesday attacked the Income Tax Department for seizing more than Rs 350 crore in cash and about 3 kg of gold jewelery from the premises of Congress MP Dheeraj Sahu.

PM Modi has taken a dig at Congress by posting on his official social media handle X. PM Modi wrote in his post that who needs ‘money heist’ narrative in India, when you have Congress party, whose robberies are famous for 70 years and counting.

In his post, PM Modi also shared a video posted by BJP, which shows a pile of currency notes recovered by the IT department.

Let us tell you that the Income Tax Department raided the premises of Congress Rajya Sabha MP from Jharkhand, Dheeraj Prasad Sahu, on Wednesday i.e. 6th December. In this raid, the Income Tax Department recovered more than Rs 350 crore in cash. The Income Tax Department found this cash in Odisha and Jharkhand. All this cash was filled in the shelves. A video of this raid is also going viral rapidly. It can be seen in the video that bundles of notes were crammed in many shelves.

The video of this raid went viral on Friday i.e. 8th December. At the same time, there was a shortage of machines for counting the bundles of notes inside the shelves. The Income Tax Department had to order three dozen counting machines to count the notes. The raid was against an Odisha-based distillery group and its associated entities, Congress Rajya Sabha MP from Jharkhand Dheeraj Prasad Sahu was linked to the case. However, the Congress party has distanced itself from Dheeraj Sahu in this matter.
