The Defense Investiture Ceremony was organized at Rashtrapati Bhavan today i.e. on Tuesday. President Draupadi Murmu presented gallantry awards at the ceremony. Apart from PM Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, many Union ministers also participated in this ceremony. During this, President Murmu presented eight Kirti Chakras including five posthumously and 29 Shaurya Chakras including five posthumously to personnel of Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces and State Police or Union Territory Police.

According to media reports, on May 9, the Defense Investiture Ceremony was organized with great fanfare at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Captain Rakesh TR of 9 Para has been awarded Shaurya Chakra in this award ceremony. Lieutenant Commander Mrityunjay Kumar awarded Shaurya Chakra
Let us inform that President Murmu has awarded Shaurya Chakra to Lieutenant Commander Mrityunjay Kumar. Commander Mrityunjay Kumar has been awarded the Shaurya Chakra in the year 2021 for his act of gallantry during Shok Baba Van in Kashmir. Similarly, eight Kirti Chakras including five posthumously and 29 Shaurya Chakras including five posthumously have been awarded today.
