Cyclone Hindi: The deep depression over the Bay of Bengal has intensified into Cyclone Midhili. Gradually it is coming towards Odisha and Bengal coast. According to media reports, its location is 200 km south and south-east of Digha. Due to the effect of this cyclone, there is heavy rain in the coastal districts on Friday. At the same time, due to rain in many areas of the national capital Delhi, people will get relief from the problem of air pollution.

Midhili turns into cyclone

On Friday, November 17, this low pressure turned into a cyclone near the Paradweep coast between Bhubaneswar and Balasore. After this it will move along the coast towards north and north-east i.e. Bangladesh. It is likely to enter the Sundarban region of Bangladesh on Friday night or Saturday morning. At the time of entry between Khepu Para and Mongla, its speed can be 80-85 km per hour. Due to this, there is a possibility of cloudy sky throughout the day in Bengal.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert. Fishermen have been banned from entering the North Bay of Bengal till November 18. Tourists are also prohibited from going into the sea. It is sure to impact the Seemanchal areas of Jharkhand and Bihar also. The wind speed during this period will be 60 to 70 km per hour. High waves may arise in the sea.

Delhi government will make artificial rain

Delhiites are hopeful of getting relief from air pollution soon. In view of the poisonous air in Delhi-NCR itself, the Kejriwal government has decided to make artificial rain on 20th November. For this, IIT Kanpur had conducted a trial. After the trial, its report was submitted to the Delhi Government. Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that with the help of artificial rain, pollution can be controlled to some extent. However, the incidents of stubble burning in Punjab are not showing any signs of decreasing.
